Noleta is technically not within the City Limits of Santa Barbara, but has a Santa Barbara address and Zip Code, 93111.  Noleta is a local name for the area located in the County of Santa Barbara between the Western boundary of the City of Santa Barbara and the Eastern boundary of the City of Goleta.  Folks in this area have voted numerous times not to be a part of the City of Goleta and this is the origin of the Noleta name; No-Goleta = Noleta.  This area was originally planted in lemon and fruit orchards and a few orchards remain to this day, but most of them were developed into housing tracts from the late 1950's through the very early 1970's.  Check 93111 for house/condo values, home sales graph and social/economic data.
