The West Beach neighborhood of Santa Barbara gains its name after the sandy beach that runs from Sterns Wharf to the Santa Barbara Harbor and is nestled between the beach, State Street, Castillo Street and the Southern Pacific tracks.  West Beach is home to 'motel/hotel row' (all facing the beach from across Cabrillo Blvd), many Bed & Breakfast Inns, a few smaller condominium complexes, quite a few charming single family homes and fronts onto the Santa Barbara Harbor.  Smaller in scope than East Beach, West Beach is usually less populated.
