Stan's Favorites:
Coffee & Tea

(In Alphabetical Order)

Coffee Cat

Santa Barbara Courthouse: Favorite Coffe SpotKitty-corner from the Santa Barbara Court House and just one block off State Street, this place has a slightly urban feel to it. A great place to linger with a great cup of coffee and your laptop, while checking the time on the Court House Tower. Located on the corner of Anapamu Street and Anacapa Street.

Daily Grind

Santa Barbara Mid-Town: Favorite Coffee SpotThe abundance of indoor and outdoor seating, its own small parking lot, late night hours and surf theme make this a busy local hangout. Great food along with great coffee. Located on the corner of Mission Street and De la Vina Street.

Goleta Coffee Company

Goleta: Favorite Coffee SpotChances are locals don't even now
that Goleta Coffee exists since it is so tucked away in a Hollister strip mall. A true clandestine coffee den with a funky appeal and a menu which also includes amazing sandwiches, baked goods and smoothies. Couches, recliners, artwork, indoor & outdoor tables, WiFi and a lot of smiles. 177 S. Turnpike Road next to Von's.

Java Station

Santa Barbara Upper-State Street: Favorite Coffee SpotThe homey, living room atmosphere (right down to the fireplace) of this place attracts locals and just those in search of a good cup of coffee. Sit on a couch and linger. Hidden at 4447 Hollister Avenue two blocks past Modoc Road, but worth the journey to find it!

Peet's Coffee and Tea

Santa Barbara Upper-State Street: Favorite Coffee SpotOK, it is a chain store, but it is across State Street from my office, which makes it a very convenient "local" hangout with both indoor and some outdoor seating. Great coffee and tea! 3905 State Street

Santa Barbara Roasting Company

Santa Barbara Downtown: Favorite Coffee SpotAn oddly hidden place in a high-profile spot, but worth the effort to find it. The industrial decor suits it well, since it is within a block of the 101 Freeway. Great coffee made from locally roasted beans. WiFi. Located 321 Motor Way behind the City parking lot just off the 300 block of State Street.

Sojourner Coffeehouse

Santa Barbara Downtown: Favorite Coffee SpotLocated across from the Presidio, this place is more of a restaurant than all the rest. A charming place to spend the afternoon with a great cup of coffee. Also a great place for vegetarian and healthy food, maybe the best in town. Located behind the Post Office at 134 E. Cannon Perdido.

Vices & Spices

Santa Barbara Upper-State Street: Favorite Coffee SpotLooking for the oldest, most unassuming and homey coffee place in Santa Barbara, try this one on Upper State Street. It is so small, you will probably drive right by it, but there is ample parking behind the store. Be ready for great service and rare coffees. 3558 State Street
